PDP’s Board of Trustees (BoT) have joined the group of those rejecting the appointment of Senator Ali Modu Sheriff as the party’s National Chairman.

The acting Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party’s BoT, Senator Walid Jubril, made the disclosure on Monday.

Senator Jubril told reporters in Abuja that Senator Sheriff was not a suitable leader for the party.

He maintained that the board would meet to provide a viable solution to the leadership crisis.

Meanwhile, Senator Sheriff has officially resumed office despite calls from some party members for him to resign.

He officially took over the affairs of the party from the PDP Deputy National Chairman, Mr Uche Secondus, who has been acting as the chairman since Adamu Muazu resigned in May 2015.
