Ese Oruru’s Abductor, Yunusa Arraigned In Court

The abductor of 14-year-old Ese Oruru, Yunusa Dahiru, has on Tuesday being arraigned in court on a six-count charge of abduction, illegal carnal knowledge, illicit sex, among others.

He was arraigned before a Federal High Court sitting in the Bayelsa State capital, Yenagoa, from where he allegedly abducted the then 13-year-old Ese in August 2015.

The defendant took the abducted girl to his hometown in Kano State, converted her to Islam and married her, all without her parents’ consent.
