Lagos state governor, Akinwumi Ambode has approved the termination of four officials of the Lagos State Building Control Agency (LASBCA) due to last week’s collapse of a building in Lekki Gardens.

The collapse of the building which was said to have been sealed by the building agency, resulted in the death of 34 people.

In a statement released on Monday, the Lagos state government approved the dismissal of Adeigbe Olushola, General Manager of LASBCA, Adeoye Thomas Adeyemi, Head of Inspection and Quality Control and Dosunmu Gbadebo, a Zonal District Officer in the agency.

Zonal Head of Eti-Osa west, Akinde Adenike Sherifat, was compulsorily retired from the civil service.
