Abia, Nigeria – Governor Alex Otti has announced the commissioning of a multimillion-dollar production facility by Ultimum Beverages in Aba, describing the development as a major boost for industrial growth in the state.
The facility, built by the Kadji Group, is valued at over $35 million, with plans to scale up investment to $100 million in the near future. The project is seen as a strong signal of renewed investor confidence in Abia State and its economic potential.
According to a statement on Thursday, the Governor said the investment reflects ongoing efforts by his administration since May 2023 to rebuild the state’s business environment. These efforts include improving infrastructure, enhancing security, and creating policies aimed at supporting businesses and attracting both local and foreign investors.
Okay News reports that Otti described the project as more than just a financial investment, noting that it represents growing trust in Abia as a destination where businesses can succeed. He added that the state government remains committed to protecting investments and ensuring that companies operating within the state continue to thrive.
The governor also expressed appreciation to the Kadji Group for choosing Aba as the site for the facility, highlighting the city’s long-standing reputation as a hub for entrepreneurship and manufacturing. He reiterated that Abia is positioning itself as a leading destination for industrial development in Nigeria.
