About Okay News

Okay News is a global digital newsroom committed to one purpose: delivering verified news with a clear voice.

We cover the stories that shape the world, from political decisions to security crises across continents to technology breakthroughs and cultural moments. Wherever the story breaks, Okay News reports it.

Published by Okay International Limited, Okay News operates as an independent, editorially driven news organisation serving a worldwide audience that demands accuracy, context, and speed without compromise.

Our tagline is not decoration. Verified News. Clear Voice. It is the standard every journalist, editor, and contributor at Okay News is held to, on every story, every day.

Our Story

Okay News was founded as Okay.ng, one of Nigeria’s most-read digital news platforms, built over more than a decade of consistent, credible journalism.

In October 2025, the platform relaunched under the Okay News brand and okaynews.com domain, a deliberate evolution from a Nigerian news destination to a global newsroom with Nigerian and African journalism at its core.

The rebrand was not a cosmetic change. It reflected a fundamental editorial decision: that the stories we cover, the audiences we serve, and the standards we uphold belong on the world stage.

What We Cover

Okay News publishes daily reporting across politics, business and economy, technology, security, entertainment, sports, education, lifestyle, and energy. Our coverage spans Nigeria, Africa, and the world, combining on-the-ground reporting with international newswire monitoring to ensure our audience never misses what matters.

We do not chase noise. We report the news.

Our Editorial Standards

Every story published on Okay News is subject to verification before publication. We do not publish unconfirmed facts, altered quotes, or misleading headlines. Our journalists are required to fully identify every person, institution, and organisation mentioned in their reporting, because our audience is global and we never assume prior knowledge.

Our editorial standards are governed by the Okay News Editorial Book, a living document that codifies our commitment to accuracy, fairness, source protection, international context, and responsible journalism. It applies to every piece of content that carries the Okay News name.

We correct our errors transparently. When mistakes happen, we say so, and we say so clearly.

Our Independence

Okay News operates free of political affiliation, government influence, and corporate editorial control. Our journalism is funded through advertising, partnerships, and sponsored content, all of which are clearly labelled and held to strict separation from our editorial operations.

We do not allow advertising relationships to influence news coverage. Ever.

Our People

Okay News is built by journalists. Our team includes reporters, editors, photographers, and digital producers with backgrounds spanning international affairs, conflict reporting, business journalism, technology coverage, and investigative reporting. We are headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria, with coverage that reaches every corner of the world.

The Publisher of Okay News is Farouk Mohammed, an International Media Practitioner and Brand Maker with over 20 years of experience in digital journalism, SEO strategy, and international news operations.
