Actor Kunle Remi has revealed that he almost died by suicide in 2017.

Remi made the confession in an emotional Instagram post in response to the death of American DJ Stephen “Twitch” Boss, who died by suicide on December 13, 2022, after battling depression.

In the video, Remi spoke about the challenges he faced in 2017 and how overwhelmed he felt at the time. “2017 was tough for me,” he said. “I was growing through a lot, and so many thoughts in my mind, and at a point, I couldn’t take it, I was close to committing suicide.”

However, Remi credits God’s grace with helping him overcome this difficult period and says that he has since learned the importance of seeking support and sharing his feelings. “I used to bottle up stuff, but now I have learned to share and talk to someone,” he said.

Remi also encouraged others to strive for a balance between happiness and sadness, saying, “life is beautiful, but we need to always choose a balance between happiness and sadness, let’s do better.”
