Adamawa Election: INEC Declares Fintiri Winner After Supplementary Governorship Poll

In a highly anticipated and closely watched race, Ahmadu Fintiri of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has been declared the winner of the governorship election in Adamawa State.

The incumbent governor, who ran for reelection, secured a total of 430, 861 votes, defeating his closest rival, Aisha Binani of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who received 396,788 votes.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) returning officer for the election announced the results on Tuesday, bringing an end to a highly competitive and closely contested election.

Ahmadu Fintiri will now serve a second term in office.
