The Adamawa State Police Command has achieved a major breakthrough in its efforts to combat violent crimes with the arrest of two suspects linked to the brutal killing of a 10-year-old boy in Jada Local Government Area.

In a statement released on Sunday, the Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Suleiman Nguroje, disclosed that the suspects, Ibrahim Abdul Malik, 27, and Aliyu Abdul Malik, 18, both residents of Anguwan Sarkin Yamma in Jada, were apprehended in connection with the crime.

The suspects allegedly murdered and beheaded the victim, identified as Abdalla Lawali, an Almajiri from Anguwar Dubai, Jada. The young boy was reported missing on March 7, 2025, prompting an intensive search by authorities and community members.

CSP Nguroje explained that following credible intelligence on the suspects’ involvement, the Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, deployed a team to the scene. The operatives recovered the decomposed body of the victim in a sack bag.

A subsequent search of the suspects’ residence led to the discovery of the victim’s head buried in a shallow grave within the compound.

During interrogation, the suspects confessed to the crime, expressing remorse and attributing their actions to “the devil’s influence.”

CP Morris condemned the heinous act and ordered the case to be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department for thorough investigation and prosecution. He assured the public that justice would be served and urged parents and guardians to remain vigilant, reporting any suspicious activities in their neighborhoods to the police.
