Adeleke Orders Probe Into Suspected Cult Killing in Osogbo

OSOGBO, Nigeria – Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has directed security agencies to investigate a suspected cult-related killing in Osogbo and arrest those responsible.

Okay News reports that the governor condemned the incident and the violence that followed, describing the development as a matter of serious concern.

Adeleke said the perpetrators must be identified and prosecuted, adding that he would engage the leadership of security agencies on the need to strengthen intelligence gathering and proactive security operations.

The governor made the remarks ahead of the Zonal Security Conference of State Directors of Security in the South-West Zone, where he said cultism and banditry must be tackled decisively.

He urged residents to remain calm and law-abiding while warning them against fake news and propaganda. Adeleke reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to protecting peace and security across Osun State.
