The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has issued an urgent notification to all customers with outstanding bills, urging them to settle their accounts immediately to avoid service disruption.

In a statement released on Friday, AEDC emphasized that customers who fail to settle their outstanding bills within the next 72 hours, by Monday, June 3, 2024, will face disconnection of their electricity supply.

The company stressed the importance of adhering to payment deadlines to ensure efficient and reliable service.

“The timely payment of electricity bills remains crucial for the continued operation and enhancement of AEDC’s infrastructure, which is essential for delivering uninterrupted service to the community,” the statement read.

AEDC highlighted that the deadline for payment of all outstanding bills is Monday, June 3, 2024. Customers are urged to take immediate action to settle their accounts within this period to avoid any inconvenience due to service disconnection.

The company reiterated its commitment to providing quality service and improving its infrastructure but noted that the cooperation of customers in fulfilling their financial obligations is vital to achieving these goals.
