Nigeria defeated Guinea Bissau 1-0 in the reverse leg of their African Cup of Nations qualifying match on Monday evening.

Moses Simon scored from the spot kick to give the Super Eagles victory at the Estadio 24 De Setembro, Bissau.

Okay.ng reports that the Nigerian side was under intense pressure to win the game after a shocking defeat on Friday.

This result means Nigeria has nine points while topping group A, leaving Guinea Bissau with seven point.

The Super Eagles will be visitors to take on Sierra Leone on June 12.

Their final qualifying match will be at home to Sao Tome and Principe on September 4.
