Egypt sealed top spot in Group B at the Africa Cup of Nations after playing out a tense 0–0 draw with Angola in Agadir.

Despite making several changes to their starting lineup and resting key stars, the Pharaohs did enough to progress comfortably, while Angola needed a win to keep their knockout hopes alive.

Angola came closest to breaking the deadlock when captain Fredy rattled the woodwork with a dangerous free-kick. Egypt, already assured of qualification before kick-off, managed the game well and saw out the stalemate without taking unnecessary risks.

The result confirmed Egypt as Group B winners and sent them through to the round of 16, while Angola bowed out of the tournament after falling short of the required result.
