Ahmed Salau Ogembe, Senator representing Kogi State Central, escaped death in an auto crash along the Abuja-Lokoja road.

Okay Nigeria understands that the senator was on his way to Okene for the upcoming elections.

However, Duke Opeyemi, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Senator, told News Agency of Nigeria in a telephone interview that the accident occurred at 9 a.m on Friday, at Gegu community in Kotonkarfe LGA of Kogi state.

He further stated that, the senator’s bulletproof car somersaulted several times, though Ogembe and other occupants made it out of the vehicle unhurt.

Opeyemi said the senator expressed gratitude to God for saving his life and other occupants in the vehicle with him.
