Wife of Nigeria’s President, Mrs Aisha Buhari has donated food items to Kaduna State Government for onward distribution to residents of the state.

Aisha Buhari, who was represented by Co-ordinator of Buhari Support Group, Mrs Binta Muazu, said the donation was part of her efforts to touch the lives of the less-privileged in the society, particularly in this trying moment of economic hardship and in the spirit of Ramadan.

During the presentation, she sympathized with the citizens on the pains they are passing through presently, assuring them that the pains were temporary as her husband, President Buhari, means well for the country.

She also encouraged the Muslim faithful to use the Ramadan period to pray for the peace of the nation and leaders.

Wife of Kaduna State Governor, Hadiza El-Rufai, while receiving the items on behalf of the State Government, commended the President Buhari-led administration for the achievements so far, especially in the fight against insurgency and corruption.

She also guaranteed that women in the state are in full support of the programmes and policies of the present administration.

Items donated include cartons of Macaroni, Spaghetti, bags of Semovita, Wheat among other food items.
