The first lady of the federal republic of Nigeria, Aisha Buhari has reacted to the death of Ismaila Isa Funtua.

Aisha via her Twitter handle extended her condolence to the wife and family of the deceased.

She said the close ally to her husband, President Muhammadu Buhari, will be “remembered for his support to female politicians…”

“Inna lillahi Wa inna ilaihi Raji’un. On behalf of my family, I extend our condolence to Mrs Hauwa Isa Funtua and the entire family on the sudden death of Malam Ismaila Isa Funtua.

“We pray that Allah SWT will grant him Aljannatul Firdaus.

“Mallam Ismaila Isa Funtua will be remembered for his support to female politicians, especially his role to get them appointed into different boards in the last 4 years,” she wrote.

Okay.ng reported that Isa Funtua died of cardiac arrest on Monday night, and was buried on Tuesday at Gudu cemetery around according to Islamic rites.
