African Independent Television (AIT) and Ray Power FM have been reopened after a federal high court sitting in Abuja on Friday.

Okay.ng understands that DAAR Communications, parent company of AIT and Ray Power, had on May 31, filed a suit to prevent sanctions from the National Broadcasting Commission (NBC).

But, NBC suspended the two stations indefinitely, citing violation of its code.

Meanwhile, the presiding judge of the suit, Inyang Ekwo, asked NBC and the stations to maintain the status quo as of May 31 when the suit was filed.

He also ordered the NBC and the ministry of information to appear on Thursday and show cause why the motion on notice challenging the commission should not be granted.

AIT and Ray Power are now reopened after the court order.
