Ajimobi loses Senatorial election to PDP Candidate in Oyo

Governor Abiola Ajimobi of the All Progressive Congress (APC), has lost his bid to run for Oyo South senatorial district election to Kola Balogun candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Wole Akinsola, INEC collation centre office located in Ibadan North LGA, declared Balogun of the PDP after he polled 105,720 votes.

Ajimobi, however, scored 92,217 votes.

Ajimobi won in three of the local governments in the senatorial district and Balogun won the remaining six.
