Governor Umo Eno has announced a major support package for Chris Vic, a visually-impaired gospel singer from Akwa Ibom State. The governor revealed that the musician will receive a plot of land in Uyo, ₦100 million to establish a music studio, and a four-bedroom residence, in addition to a monthly allowance of ₦1 million.

Eno shared the news on his official X account on Sunday, posting a picture of himself alongside Chris Vic. “I have directed the Commissioner for Lands to allocate a plot of land to Chris Vic, and I will sign the Certificate of Occupancy next week,” the governor said. “This is in addition to building him a house and funding his studio. As long as I remain governor, he will receive a monthly allowance.”

Highlighting the inspirational nature of Chris Vic’s story, Eno added: “He demonstrates that praise is possible even in challenging circumstances. I want all persons with disabilities to know that this government cares.”

Chris Vic first captured nationwide attention during De9jaspirit Talent Hunt (DTH) Season 4, where his angelic vocals earned widespread acclaim. Notably, his collaborations with Team Unbeatable DC during Episode 7 earned them the Best Performance award. His performances continue to draw millions of views online, showcasing the talent of African creatives.
