A policeman has been lynched to death by angry mob after a stray bullet killed a female trader at Jakande in Ijegun, Isolo local government area of Lagos state.

Okay.ng learnt that two officers were injured and taken to the palace of the traditional ruler in the area.

Residents of the community told our correspondent that one of the security operatives fired a bullet when they were chasing some suspected internet fraudsters, better known as “Yahoo boys”.

The female trader identified as Biliki was hit by the bullet during the pursuit by the policemen.

Biliki was then rushed to the hospital where she passed away.
