The Emir of Kano, HRH Muhammadu Sanusi II, on Wednesday said all treasury looters should be punished after their loot have been recovered by the federal government.

He opposed views that FG should just recover money, stressing that jailing looters will serve as a deterrent to government officials.

According to him, officials should be jailed even if they helped someone else make money illegally.

He also commended the government for the deregulation of the oil industry and the liberalization of the foreign exchange market.
