APC’s Akeredolu declared winner of Ondo governorship election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Rotimi Akeredolu as winner of the Ondo state governorship election.

The chief returning officer for the election, Professor Idowu Olayinka, announced that the candidate of the APC, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, winner of the election having satisfied all constitutional requirements.

Akeredolu polled a total of 292,830 votes against Eyitayo Jegede, his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) rival, who secured 195,791 votes.
