A Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja Thursday sacked Ned Nwoko as senator-elect for Delta North.

Earlier, Okay.ng reported on April 3, 2019 that a Federal High Court removed Mr Nwaoboshi as the Peoples Democratic Party’s senator-elect for Delta North Senatorial seat.

The judgement declared Mr Nwoko as the true candidate of the PDP for the February 23, 2019 National Assembly election.

However, on Thursday, in a ruling by a three-man panel of the Court of Appeal, the Federal High Court’s judgement was nullified.

In the lead judgment, Justice Mohammed Idris, held that the suit by Nwoko was statute-barred and that Justice Ahmed Mohammed of Federal High Court, Abuja ought not to have heard the case in the first place.
