The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja on Monday upheld the re-election of Taraba governor, Darius Ishaku.

Okay.ng understands that the All Progressives Congress (APC) and its governorship candidate, Abubakar Danladi, filed an appeal against the governor on March 9, 2019.

Delivering the ruling on Monday, the appellate court dismissed the appeal and affirmed the judgment of the Taraba State Governorship Election Tribunal.

The Taraba State Governorship Election Tribunal had upheld the re-election Ishaku’s election on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Okay.ng recalls that a federal high court in Jalingo, Taraba State capital, disqualified Abubakar Danladi, who challenged Ishaku in the election.
