Apple has unveiled its plans for a special virtual event, titled “Scary Fast,” set to take place on Monday, October 30.
The event will be streamed live on Apple’s website and other platforms and is expected to focus on the introduction of new Macs.
Unlike the previous Apple events, this one will be held entirely in the virtual realm, with no in-person attendance for members of the press.
The virtual event will be accessible to anyone through Apple’s website, YouTube, and the Apple TV app.
What makes this event even more unique is its timing. It’s the first nighttime event organized by Apple, commencing at 5 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. ET. Previous Apple events were typically scheduled for a more user-friendly time at 10 a.m. PT / 1 p.m. ET.

The primary focus of Apple’s October event is anticipated to be the unveiling of new Mac models. Speculations include the release of a new iMac and potential updates to the MacBook Pro lineup.
One intriguing question surrounds whether Apple is prepared to reveal its next-generation M3 chip.
While it’s possible that the new iMac will be powered by the M2 chip unveiled at WWDC 2022, the “Scary fast” tagline suggests that Apple might be gearing up for more substantial upgrades.
Apple’s recent approach to product announcements has varied. In January, the company revealed the updated 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models, both powered by the M2 chip.
However, this “event” was different from traditional live-streamed events, with Apple choosing to make announcements through press releases on its website and pre-recorded YouTube videos.
