ABUJA, Nigeria – The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has announced the commencement of its 2026 recruitment exercise, inviting suitably qualified Nigerians to apply for positions across its officer, marshal inspectorate, road marshal assistant and artisan cadres.
According to the recruitment notice issued on June 24, 2026, and signed by Deputy Corps Marshal Pauline Olaye FISPON, Head of the Department of Administration and Human Resources, for the Corps Marshal, applications are free of charge and must be submitted online through the FRSC recruitment portal.
The exercise is aimed at recruiting “young, vibrant, and intelligent individuals” as the Corps continues its drive to strengthen road safety administration and traffic management across Nigeria.
Okay News reports that online applications opened on Friday, July 3, 2026, and will remain open for four weeks, after which shortlisted candidates will proceed to the screening stage with printed copies of their application forms.
Officer Cadre Recruitment
The Corps said vacancies are available in the officer cadre, including Superintendent Route Commander (SRC) CONPASS 11, Route Commander/Deputy Route Commander (RC/DRC) CONPASS 10/09, and Assistant Route Commander (ARC) CONPASS 08.
Medical doctors applying for the Superintendent Route Commander position must possess MBBS/MBCH qualifications from recognised institutions and present their NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
Candidates seeking Route Commander and Deputy Route Commander positions are expected to hold degrees in disciplines such as Pharmacy, Nursing, Medical Laboratory Science, Law, Engineering and other approved fields, while applicants for the Assistant Route Commander cadre may apply with B.Sc., BA or HND qualifications.
Marshal Inspectorate, Road Marshal Assistant Vacancies
The FRSC also announced openings in the Marshal Inspectorate Cadre for Marshal Inspector II and III (MI-II & MI-III) under CONPASS 07 and 06, requiring qualifications including NCE, ND/OND, Registered Nurse (RN/RM) and Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW) certificates from recognised institutions.
For the Road Marshal Assistant II and III (RMAII & RMAIII) cadre under CONPASS 04 and 03, applicants must possess at least three credit passes in SSCE, WAEC, NECO or NABTEB, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two sittings.
The recruitment exercise also covers drivers, riders and artisans, including mechanics, electricians, computer operators, plumbers, tailors and instrument technicians.
Eligibility Requirements
The Corps stated that applicants must be Nigerians by birth, computer literate, medically fit and possess certificates issued by recognised institutions.
Applicants are also expected to provide valid contact details, maintain good character, be free from criminal convictions and financial indebtedness, and declare all qualifications submitted during the recruitment process.
The FRSC noted that a valid driver’s licence will serve as an added advantage for applicants, while medical professionals and lawyers are required to possess current practising licences where applicable.
Male applicants must have a minimum height of 1.65 metres, while female applicants must be at least 1.58 metres tall.
The Corps also stated that applicants must not have tattoos on any part of their bodies, while prospective applicants who are pregnant have been advised not to apply.
For artisan positions involving motorcycle riders and drivers, applicants must possess the appropriate class of valid driver’s licence, while articulated vehicle drivers must be between 26 and 40 years of age.
FRSC Warns Against Fraudsters
The Corps emphasised that the recruitment exercise is completely free, warning prospective applicants against paying money to individuals or groups claiming to offer employment assistance.
Interested applicants are required to complete their applications through the official FRSC recruitment portal at https://recruitment.frsc.gov.ng before the deadline.
