LOS ANGELES, United States – Ariana Grande plans to step away from public-facing work after completing her Eternal Sunshine Tour, her representative has confirmed, as public discussion surrounding the singer’s health continues.
Okay News reports that Grande will take “a step back from visibility” after her tour ends next month. According to her representative, the singer wants to conclude the tour “healthily and happily” before taking a well-earned break from public appearances that have subjected her to constant scrutiny.
Following the announcement, Empire Street Productions confirmed that Grande has withdrawn from the upcoming revival of Stephen Sondheim’s Sunday in the Park With George, which is scheduled to open at London’s Barbican Centre next summer. She had been cast to play both Dot and Marie alongside her Wicked co-star Jonathan Bailey.
The production company said it fully supports Grande’s decision and will announce a replacement cast member at a later date. Her representative added that the Eternal Sunshine Tour, which promotes her 2024 album of the same name, has been a rewarding experience and that the singer remains grateful to her fans.
Grande’s final tour performance is scheduled for September 1 in London. Neither the singer nor her representatives have provided further details on how long her break from public life will last.
