WIKE

A group of armed soldiers have taken over the home of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for Rivers State, Nyesom Wike.

The soldiers, numbering about 50, are said to have occupied Wike’s residence in the Old GRA area of Port Harcourt, the state capital.

Wike is set to contest against Dakuku Peterside of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the governorship elections holding today, April 11, 2015.

Governor Rotimi Amaechi has alleged that First Lady, Patience Jonathan is plotting to rig Wike into power, an allegation both parties have vehemently denied.
