Army Arrests Three Persons Linked to Terrorists

The Nigerian Army has made a significant breakthrough in the fight against terrorism with the arrest of three persons suspected of collaborating with terrorist elements in Taraba.

According to Captain Olubodunde Oni, Acting Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, the operation was carried out with precision and intelligence on October 15 at Landey Jessy village in Lau Local Government.

The successful operation was based on intelligence reports of bandits in the Kona Range of Mountains, which spans across Jalingo and Lau Local Government.

During the investigation, one of the suspects confessed that his residence was used to hide weapons after operations. Additionally, one of the suspects was identified by a victim who was attempted to be kidnapped at Iware in Ardo-Kola LG in September.

The Nigerian Army has reassured its commitment to protecting lives and property, as well as preserving the nation’s territorial integrity.

The army urges the public to continue providing timely and credible information to security agencies to help rid the country of terrorism and other forms of insecurity.
