Arsene Wenger is set to resolve his future and agree a two-year deal to stay at Arsenal, according to reports.

The deal, which would extend Wenger’s reign to 23 years, is said to have been offered by majority shareholder Stan Kroenke and requires only formal ratification at today’s board meeting.

According to The Telegraph: “Wenger paved the way for staying after being reassured that changes proposed to the sporting structure by chief executive Ivan Gazidis would not impact on his core decision making.”

Wenger said after Saturday’s FA Cup final victory over Chelsea that a decision over his future would be made clear on Wednesday following today’s board meeting.

Arsenal reiterated that timetable today, saying the outcome of talks will be announced on Wednesday afternoon.
