Attack in Benue: President Buhari Directs Security Agencies to Review Security Management

By Muhammad A. Aliyu

President Muhammadu Buhari has spoken out against the recent wave of violent attacks in Benue state, calling for an end to the use of terrorism as a tool for resolving inter-communal conflict.

His statement comes in the wake of a deadly attack on Wednesday, which left at least 46 people dead in the Umogidi community of Entekpa-Adoka, Otukpo LGA.

In a statement signed by his spokesperson, Garba Shehu, on Saturday, the president expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and directed security agencies to step up surveillance and review security management in affected areas.

He emphasized the need for a united front against the forces of terror and evil, stating that “the entire nation stands united in the fight against the forces of terror and evil.”
