Ade Marafa, elder sister to Kabiru Marafa, senator representing Zamfara Central at the National Assembly, has been killed by bandits.

Her husband was also abducted during the attack at their residence.

Abubakar Tsafe, an aide to the senator, confirmed the incident to TheCable, stating that the bandits attacked the residence of the senator’s sister, at Ruwan Bore area of Gusau Local Government Area on Tuesday.

The suspected bandits, numbering about 100, were also said to have set the village ablaze after raiding it.

“More than half of Ruwan Bore village has been burnt by the bandits. The villagers are now seeking refuge at Mada, a neighbouring community,” Tsafe, an aide to the senator, confirmed.

Okay Nigeria understands that the senator’s brother-in-law had not been found at the time of filling this report.
