Barcelona are unable to sign any more Liverpool players for three years, according to reports.

Following Philippe Coutinho’s £142million switch from Anfield to the Nou Camp in January, which was initially resisted by Liverpool, there were clauses inserted into the deal.

One of the stipulations, according to Spanish radio station Cadena Ser, is that the Catalans are unable to buy any more Liverpool players until 2021 if the Reds do not want to sell.

Coutinho has endured mixed fortunes since his arrival, with Liverpool reaching the Champions League final since his departure and sitting two points behind leaders Manchester City in the Premier League this season.

It means that the likes of Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, who have been linked with big-money moves away from Liverpool, will not be allowed to join Barcelona in the short term.
