Barcelona have signed Samuel Umtiti from Lyon for €25million (£21million).

The France international – who featured in the Euro 2016 final defeat by Portugal – has signed a five-year deal at the Nou Camp.

The Spanish champions also revealed Umtit has a €60million (£50.6million) buy-out clause in his new contract.

Umtiti will be officially unveiled by Barcelona on Friday morning.

The 22-year-old, who came through the ranks at Lyon, represented his country at every level from Under-17 upwards before making his senior debut this year.

His international debut came in the European Championships quarter-final win over Iceland and he then played both remaining matches after that.

After being promoted to Lyon’s senior side in 2011/12 Umtiti went on to make 170 appearances for the club, scoring five times.
