Nigerian comedian, Bright Okpocha, popularly known as Basketmouth, has announced that he and his wife, Elsie Uzoma Okpocha, has announced the end of their marriage.

In a statement, Basketmouth said that the decision was a difficult one, but he and his wife had reached it after much deliberation.

Basketmouth, who is known for his stand-up comedy and acting, said that he and his wife would continue to work together to provide care, love, guidance, and support for their children. He also requested that the public respect their privacy as they navigate this challenging time.

“As much as it pains me to bring my personal life to the public space, this is an unavoidable situation,” Basketmouth said in the statement. “As we move forward separately, we will continue to work together to give our beautiful children all the care, love, guidance, and support they need.”
