LAGOS, Nigeria – Organisers of Big Brother Naija Season 11 have unveiled 23 contestants during the live launch of the reality television programme.
The BBNaija Season 11 housemates introduced so far are Tram, Martins, Abi, Chimsom Chuka, Keivo, Mercedes, Kamsy, Sultex, Aikou, Flora, Bells, Temi Nkem, Gerald, Oyin, Sheba, Araga, Ricky, Nomy, Barry, Neche, Yusuf, Goddessa and Bluethophia.
Okay News reports that Ebuka Obi-Uchendu returned as host of the launch show, which began at 7pm on Sunday. The organisers said more contestants could still be introduced as the programme continues.
Tram, a 24-year-old streamer from Lagos, said he is focused on winning, while Martins, a 30-year-old visual storyteller and model from Kogi State, entered the house after leaving the runway behind.
Abi is a chef and model from Osun State, while Chimsom Chuka, 27, is a pharmacist from Anambra State. Keivo, a 27-year-old web developer from Benue State, listed gaming, painting and drawing among his interests.
Mercedes is a 26-year-old massage therapist and concierge business owner from Delta State. Kamsy, 24, works in event planning and gift curation, while Sultex, also 24, is a dancer and choreographer from Lagos.
Aikou is a 25-year-old freelance teacher and web developer from Abuja. Flora is a make-up entrepreneur, Bells is a 22-year-old self-described rule follower and foodie, and Temi Nkem, 21, said she arrived with a clear strategy for the competition.
The remaining contestants introduced during the launch included Gerald, Oyin, Sheba, Araga, Ricky, Nomy, Barry, Neche, Yusuf, Goddessa and Bluethophia. Their professional backgrounds range from media and fashion to engineering, music, acting and photography.
The new season carries a prize package valued at ₦160 million, the largest announced since Big Brother Naija began. It comprises ₦100 million in cash and a sport utility vehicle for the eventual winner.
Viewers can follow the 24-hour broadcast on DStv Channel 198 and GOtv Channel 49. The programme is also available through the DStv Stream and GOtv Stream services.
