Bernardo Silva Slams City’s Performance Against United: ‘We’re Playing Like Under-15s’

By Yusuf Abubakar

Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva has expressed his frustration following the Cityzens’ 2-1 loss to Manchester United in Sunday’s Premier League derby at the Etihad Stadium.

The defeat came despite an early lead through Joško Gvardiol, as late goals from Bruno Fernandes and Amad Diallo sealed a dramatic comeback for United.

Silva did not hold back in his criticism of City’s performance, likening their decision-making to that of youth players.

“We’re playing like under-15s at the moment,” Silva said in his post-match comments. “I don’t know what happened at the end. I think we played a very good game, and football at this level is about doing the little things properly.”

The Portuguese midfielder pointed to a late-game mistake that led to United’s equalizer, suggesting the team made avoidable errors.

87th-minute corner for your team, and the ball ends up with your keeper for a penalty. You cannot make these stupid decisions. You pay the price.
