Birdman

American rapper, Birdman may be faced with a law suit should a peace negotiation he’s been offered ends in a deadlock.

Recall that Birdman a while back went on The Breakfast Club, an American radio programme on which he demanded “Respeck” from the interviewers.

The rapper has since released a single with the title and went further to sell t-shirts with the ‘Respeck’ theme.

However, in a significant turn of events, the rapper has been contacted by a man identified as JV who had trademarked the word in 2005.

According to TMZ, JV, the owner of Respek Wear clothing line whose slogan is “Respek is something earned, not given” has sent a letter through his lawyers to Birdman.

The letter is expected to be an attempt to settle the trademark infringement out of court although the exact content is unknown.
