The dreaded Jama’atu AhlisSunna Lidda’awati Waljahad group, popularly known as Boko Haram, has reportedly launched a new campaign platform to win people over to their side.

This is coming at a time when the Federal Government and the rest of the world are trying to bring an end to all acts of terrorism being perpetrated by the sect in Nigeria.
According to Daily Trust report, the Islamist sect has now launched a new Public Relation campaign on social media, twitter. The twitter handle, Alurwa Alwuthqa is claiming to be the mouthpiece of the deadly sect.
Alurwa Alwuthqa, communicating in Arabic announced the sect’s capture of Monguno and shared photos of child soldiers being trained by the sect.
The account began tweeting on January 18, and has amassed over 3,000 followers already. Its first tweet was something about Baga.

The account also has a video interview with Abu Mus’ab Albarnawi, who is claiming to be the spokesman of the group.
The faces of the both interviewer and interviewee were blurred in the video. There is however no video of the sect’s leader Abubakar Shekau on the account. The Nigerian Defence Headquarters is yet to comment on the twitter account and its content.
