Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Zulum, has approved the disbursement of N50 million in conjunction with the construction of faculty residences and student lodgings at the Nigerian Army University, Biu (NAUB).

The announcement of these measures was made by Zulum in response to Prof. Kyari Mohammed, the Vice Chancellor of Army University, and his management team, who paid a courtesy visit to the governor at the Government House in Maiduguri.

Zulum’s consistent support has extended to institutions such as the University of Maiduguri, University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH), Federal Polytechnic Monguno, Federal College of Education Gwoza, and various other Federal Government establishments either under development or already established in Borno State.

During this recent visit, Governor Zulum instructed the Borno State Ministry of Education to compile a roster of deserving students eligible for scholarships to pursue higher education at the Nigerian Army University, Biu.

The governor emphasized that beneficiaries should be selected from all three senatorial zones: Northern, Central, and Southern districts of the state.
