The Borno State government has denied reports that Umara, the son of Governor Babagana Zulum, was arrested in India for alleged murder.

According to a statement by the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Zulum on New Media, Abdurrahman Ahmed Bundi, the reports are entirely false and mischievous.

The statement clarified that Governor Zulum’s sons were not involved in any unlawful activities, and none of them were arrested or charged with any crime.

The government warned the public to exercise caution when sharing information and urged media outlets to engage in responsible journalism, verifying facts before publication.

The statement also threatened legal action against any media outlet that continues to publish the defamatory information.
