Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno State has emerged All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Borno Central Senatorial District In 2019.

The governor was declared winner of the primary conducted on Wednesday, which result was announced on Thursday morning.

Shettima polled 2,735 votes to defeat his opponent Ali Wurge who scored 5 votes.

The Chairman of the APC Borno Central senatorial electoral committee, Ahmed Almaduzu, revealed this while announcing the result.

Shettima didn’t failed to appreciate his supporters in brief acceptance speech shortly after the official declaration, he also thanked his co-contestant.
