Borussia Dortmund Reach Champions League Final with 1-0 Win Over PSG

By Adamu Abubakar Isa

Borussia Dortmund secured a spot in the Champions League final with a 1-0 win over Paris Saint-Germain, completing a 2-0 aggregate victory. Mats Hummels’ second-half header proved decisive, as Dortmund’s solid defense stifled Kylian Mbappe and PSG’s attacks.

Despite PSG hitting the post four times in the second half, Dortmund’s efficiency and resilience earned them a place in the final at Wembley on June 1 against either Real Madrid or Bayern Munich.

Dortmund’s manager, Edin Terzic, praised his team’s performance, saying, “The dream is not over yet! We suffered a lot, but we showed a very good away game against a team that is so powerful up front, so quick, so mobile – and we kept two clean sheets.”

PSG manager Luis Enrique acknowledged Dortmund’s strength, saying, “Football is so unfair sometimes. We created 30 shots, four off the post, and in the two matches, we hit the post six times and didn’t score a goal.”

Dortmund’s unlikely run continues, with a chance to win the Champions League title. Their next match is in the Bundesliga against Mainz on Saturday.
