18 APC First-Term Governors Meet in Kebbi

BIRNIN KEBBI, Nigeria — Eighteen first-term governors elected under the platform of the All Progressives Congress commenced a closed-door meeting at the Kebbi Government House on Tuesday, July 7, 2026.

Okay News reports that Nigeria’s Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, hosted the delegation of state executives at the government complex.

The visiting officials who arrived for the session include the governors of Sokoto, Kaduna, Jigawa, Plateau, Delta, Ekiti, Taraba, Ondo, Ebonyi, Akwa Ibom, Edo, Benue, Kogi, and Enugu states.

The governors of Cross River, Niger, and Katsina states did not attend the meeting in person but transmitted formal apologies to the body.

Journalists assembled at the state house to await an official briefing after the administrators conclude the private proceedings.
