Bomb explosions have reportedly rocked Maiduguri, Borno State capital.

The bomb explosions are reported to have occurred around Muna Garage area on the outskirts of the city and created panic in the area.

Commissioner of Police, Borno Command, Damian Chukwu confirmed the incident. “There are some bomb blasts this night and our men are already at the scene,” he told Sun News, promising to provide more detail as the rescue operation gets underway.

Maiduguri has been the focal point of the Boko Haram insurgency which has now lasted for over 6 years.
