A bomb squad has arrived at the scene of an explosion, which took place near the finish line of the men’s Olympic cycling road race course in Rio de Janeiro.
Bomb squad agents in protective gear were in attendance at the site but the cause of the explosion is not yet clear.
There were no signs of panic or injuries among those attending the cycling road race event, one witness told Reuters.
