Former oil minister and the greatest philanthropist of Borno, Shettima Ali Monguno is dead.

 SHETTIMA-ALI-MONGUNO

He was 90 years old.

Dr. Shettima was abducted in Maiduguri by Boko Haram terrorists in May of 2013, leading to global outrage before he was released.

He is well noted and recognised for his philanthropy including helping to build Qur’anic and Western schools and sponsoring many indigent children to school.

He will be buried tomorrow.
