Multiple sources, including Channels TV, are reporting that the Deputy Governor of Rivers State, Tele Ikuru, has left the APC for the PDP, six days to the general elections.
Director of communications for President Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign, Femi Fani-Kayode, has somewhat confirmed the development as he reweeted a twitter news feed handle who reported the development as ‘breaking.’
Ikuru has been Governor Chibuike Amechi’s deputy sine 2007 and has been campaigning for the APC along with Amaechi until he declared his defection.
