Unknown Gunmen on Sunday stormed St. Philips Catholic Church in Ozubulu, a town in Anambra State, South-East Nigeria.

News reaching us that scores of worshippers are feared dead and many others injured in the attack which took place in Ekusigo Local Government Area of the state.

Governor Willie Obiano is said to have visited the scene to ascertain the situation.

The governor condemned the attack and assured the people that an investigation into the cause of the attack would commence immediately.

He added that the state government would ensure the perpetrators of the evil act are apprehended and brought to justice.
