Sango-Ota, Ogun State, Nigeria – Popular Nigerian comedian and skit maker Broda Shaggi has reportedly been hospitalised after he was shot while filming a comedy skit in Sango-Ota in Ogun State.
The entertainer, whose real name is Samuel Perry, was said to be shooting content with his crew under the Sango-Ota bridge when the incident occurred.
Okay News reports that he sustained a gunshot injury during the filming and was quickly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
He was initially rushed to Blooming Care Hospital in the Alakuko area of Lagos, where doctors administered first aid before referring him to Duchess Hospital in Ikeja for further medical care.
The spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, Abimbola Adebisi, confirmed that the hospital alerted the police after the injured entertainer was brought in. She said officers who visited the hospital saw him on a stretcher with a gunshot injury to his thigh.
However, the spokesperson for the Ogun State Police Command, Oluseyi Babaseyi, said the incident had not yet been officially reported to the command. Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the shooting are ongoing.
