President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment Dr John Adekolawole as the new rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Ede, Osun state.
This was announced in a statement by the Registrar of the institution, O. A Ogunleye.
“The appointment is for an initial period of four years. Adekolawole of the Department of Science Laboratory Technology of the institution was educated at the University of Ife, now Obafemi Awolowo University, where he obtained his BSc Engineering Physics in 1982; MSc Engineering Physics in 1990; MPhil (Physics) in 2007; and PhD (Physics) in 2010,” the statement read.
“Adekolawole joined the service of the Federal Polytechnic, Ede in 1993 and served in various capacities in the institution before he became a chief lecturer of the institution.
“All staff and students are enjoined to give him all the necessary assistance and cooperation to enable him carry out his duties effectively.”
